ON BEHALF OF OUR CLIENT, AN INTERNATIONAL MANUFACTURING COMPANY OPERATING IN THE SPECIALTY CHEMICALS SECTOR

we are looking for an

EHS Specialist / ASPP

Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation of the site's Environmental, Health & Safety strategy, combining operational field activities with compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate is a HSE professional who enjoys being present on the shop floor, interacting with operators and promoting a proactive safety culture, supporting daily HSE activities including:

Performing safety inspections, workplace observations and field audits;

Supporting environmental monitoring activities and environmental compliance programs;

Conducting Gemba Walks and promoting safe behaviours through continuous interaction with production personnel;

Delivering toolbox talks and short safety training sessions;

Investigating incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and supporting corrective actions;

Monitoring compliance with company HSE procedures and correct use of PPE;

Supporting the preparation and updating of Risk Assessments (DVR) and Contractor Risk Assessments (DUVRI);

Managing fire prevention activities, including maintenance schedules and statutory documentation;

Supporting internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives;





Collaborating with Engineering, Operations and Maintenance to ensure effective implementation of HSE standards.

Candidate profile
We are looking for an HSE professional with a solid technical background and a genuine passion for workplace safety.

The ideal candidate has:

A degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or another relevant technical discipline, combined with HSE qualifications, specialised training or professional experience in Health & Safety;

A few years of experience in HSE roles within manufacturing environments;

Previous experience in chemical plants or industrial environments handling hazardous substances; experience in Seveso-regulated sites would be considered an advantage;

Good knowledge of Italian HSE legislation and operational safety practices;

Good command of English;

Familiarity with SOPs and HAZOP methodologies would be considered a plus.

Personal Skills
The successful candidate is a pragmatic and hands‑on professional who enjoys working close to operations.

Strong communication skills, confidence when interacting with production personnel, leadership potential, authority, relationship‑building abilities and a proactive approach to promoting a positive safety culture are essential for success in this role.

Location
Based in the East Piedmont.
