Overview In this Italian Finance role, you ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and strong controls for the Italian business within Thermo Fisher's global accounting framework.
You'll work closely with auditors and business partners to support compliance, tax, and statutory requirements, while driving process improvements.
The position focuses on local accounting, VAT, tax declarations, and asset management to safeguard assets and enable growth. You will contribute to a compliant, high-quality financial reporting culture across the Italian subsidiary.
Responsibilities Monthly and year?end accounting close activities including journal entries, accruals, reporting and analysis
Manage monthly VAT registers, LIPE data, and VAT declarations
Fixed assets updates: depreciation and scrapping
Analyze customer collections for bank updates and monthly collections reporting
Balance sheet reconciliations
Withholding tax calculation and certifications
Statutory and tax compliance activities
Management and printing of Statutory Accounting Registers




Perform sophisticated accounting treatments and prepare financial documents and supplemental reporting
Ensure compliance with policy, approval matrix and SOP; recommend control improvements
Drive continuous improvement and enhance controls through systems
Perform local tax calculations and monthly Self?invoicing (FOC reports) analysis
External agents' commission calculation and related communications (Sales Target, Enasarco, FIRR)
Control of payment lists and year?end corporate tax calculations
Support external tax consultants for statutory reports and annual tax declarations
Support external auditors with quarter and year?end data
Administrative support to the Italian Subsidiary
Other related activities
Qualifications Bachelor degree preferred with 5–10 years of accounting and tax experience
Excellent understanding of financial accounting standards and internal controls
Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience with IFS ERP (or equivalent) is a plus
Proficient verbal and written communication in Italian and English
