Project Engineer – Automotive Body Development

We are currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join a long-term vehicle development project focused on Body Engineering and Exterior Systems.

As Senior Project Engineer, you will coordinate the technical development of Body components, leading a dedicated Design Engineering team throughout feasibility, concept development and industrialization.

You will act as the technical interface between engineering, suppliers and cross-functional departments, ensuring that project objectives are achieved in terms of quality, cost and timing.

Responsibilities

- Lead a dedicated Design Engineering team.
- Coordinate feasibility studies and technical development activities.
- Manage supplier technical activities and engineering alignment.
- Organize and lead technical review meetings.
- Coordinate Front, Side and Rear Body development.
- Create and maintain Technical Specifications.
- Develop and maintain DFMEA documentation.
- Manage System and Component DVP activities.
- Coordinate Engineering Releases and Change Management.
- Maintain Engineering BOM in SAP.
- Monitor project timing and engineering deliverables.
- Support prototype builds and vehicle launch activities.




- Prepare weekly project status reports and technical documentation.
- Drive issue resolution throughout the development process.

Requirements

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive product development.
- Proven experience in:
- BIW (Body in White)
- Vehicle Structures
- Exterior Trim
- Platform Layout
- Experience leading engineering teams.
- Experience working with automotive suppliers.
- Strong understanding of complete vehicle development processes.
- Fluent English (minimum B2).
