Envision Your Future
The candidate will act as Product Design Engineer for the Smart Eyewear project.
He/She will follow the project from its beginning, actively participating in the Product Design phase, where a solid, proactive, and creative problem?solving approach is required, and support Product Development up until the launch to Mass Production.
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for 3D model design on CAD and modeling of complex smart eyewear systems in which aesthetics plays a key role. The successful candidate should also be able to achieve a holistic understanding of the product and its functionalities.
He/She will work closely with Product Design Engineers, Industrial Designers, User Experience team, Quality, and Manufacturing.
Areas of Responsibilities and Related Activities




Develop and act as reference for the development of complex mechanical solutions as a member of a multi?disciplinary team.
Ideate, design, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.
Push state?of?the?art technologies and approaches to solve complex mechanical problems.
Work across the full product development cycle, especially from idea to concept definition to product finalization.
Collaborate closely with industrial designers, UX team and quality.
Travel to and support engineering builds and vendor visits.
Main Requirements
Educational background in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design.
Knowledge and experience with parametric 3D CAD software, preferably Creo.
Knowledge and experience with PDM, preferably Windchill.
Knowledge of design and process of injection moulding.
Three or more years of industry experience in mechanical design or mold design.
Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, geometric tolerancing, and 3D/2D CAD.
Knowledge of design and simulation tools, prototyping tools, manufacturing technologies and materials.
Working knowledge of material properties such as plastics, metal,



adhesive, glass, etc.
Experience building relationships and collaborating with cross?functional teams.
Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams.
High level of organizational skills.
Scientific approach and strong problem?solving skills.
Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast?paced environment with minimal supervision.
Previous experience in Consumer Electronics product development is greatly appreciated.
Experience with Office 365.

Annual Gross Salary: 35,000 Eur – 45,000 Eur

What Else Do You Need to Know?
This position will be based in Agordo at our Operations headquarters. Availability for occasional travel to our Milan headquarters (Corporate HQ) is also required.
