Due to continued success, they are looking to expand their team with a strongSenior Power Electronics Engineer – MVDC /strong /ppbr / /ppstrongThe Role /strong /ppAs strongSenior Power Electronics Engineer, /strong you'll lead the design and development of MVDC power conversion systems from concept through to qualification. You'll own converter design end-to-end, topology selection, simulation, hardware design, and validation, while mentoring junior engineers and working closely with systems, controls, and mechanical teams. /ppbr / /ppstrongKey Responsibilities /strong /pulliDesign and develop MVDC converters (e.G. DC/DC, AC/DC) at medium voltage levels (3kV–35kV class) /liliTopology evaluation and selection, modular multilevel, DAB, ISOP/IPOS series-stacked architectures, resonant topologies /liliPower stage design: semiconductor selection (SiC MOSFETs, IGBTs, series-connected devices), gate drive design, magnetics specification /liliSimulation and modelling (PLECS, LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink) /liliInsulation coordination, creepage/clearance design,



and partial discharge considerations at MV levels /liliLab prototyping, high-voltage testing, and design verification /liliSupport compliance with relevant standards (IEC 61800, IEC 62477, IEEE 1709 as applicable) /liliMentor junior engineers and contribute to design reviews and technical strategy /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongAbout You /strong /pulliDegree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (MSc/PhD advantageous) /lili5+ years in power electronics design, with demonstrable experience at medium voltage ( br /3kV DC) /liliStrong grasp of MV converter topologies, series device operation, and high-voltage insulation design /liliHands-on lab experience with high-voltage test environments and safety practices /liliExperience with SiC and/or high-voltage IGBT platforms /liliComfortable owning designs end-to-end in a fast-moving environment /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongNice to Have /strong /pulliMMC or solid-state transformer experience /liliMarine, grid, rail, or industrial DC distribution background /liliExperience taking products through certification /li /ulpbr / /ppOpportunities like this won’t be around for long.
