The Energy & Environment Division delivers solutions for flue gas treatment and power-generation applications, including bag filters, DeNOx and DeSOx systems, as well as complete Gas Turbine Air Intake and Exhaust Systems, including filtration systems, diverter dampers, bypass stacks and associated auxiliaries.
Our projects combine multidisciplinary engineering, international procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities.
About the Role
We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Energy & Environment Division and coordinate the technical execution of international custom-engineered plant and equipment projects.
Working closely with the Project Manager and the Engineering functions, the Project Engineer will act as the technical focal point of the project, ensuring that customer requirements are correctly translated into coordinated engineering deliverables.
The role involves managing technical interfaces between internal disciplines, customers, suppliers and engineering subcontractors, while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, project schedules, quality standards and engineering budgets.
This is a hands-on coordination role requiring the ability to identify technical issues, drive decisions and ensure the timely completion of project engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer specifications, contractual requirements and project documentation, translating them into clear engineering requirements and deliverables.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across Process, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation & Control disciplines.
- Define and monitor the engineering schedule,
deliverable list and technical priorities in line with contractual milestones.
- Ensure technical consistency between engineering disciplines and manage interfaces, deviations and open technical issues.
- Prepare and review project engineering documentation and coordinate the relevant internal approvalprocess.
- Manage customer comments, technical clarifications and document revisions, ensuring timely and consistent responses.
- Prepare Material Requisitions and coordinate Technical Bid Evaluations in cooperation with the relevant engineering disciplines and Procurement.
- Review supplier and subcontractor documentation, including drawings, calculations, data sheets and technical reports.
- Monitor supplier and subcontractor engineering activities, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and agreed documentation schedules.
- Identify technical risks, delays and potential non-conformities, proposing mitigation and recovery actions together with the Project Manager and Engineering teams.
- Support the Project Manager in customer meetings, supplier discussions and the resolution of critical technical matters.
- Monitor engineering progress and budget, supporting design optimization and cost-reduction initiatives without compromising contractual requirements, quality or performance.
- Support manufacturing, construction, commissioning and start-up teams in resolving project-related technical issues.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Energy,
Electrical Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
- Previous experience in Project Engineering, engineering coordination or multidisciplinary industrial projects within EPC, energy, environmental, process plant or custom-engineered equipment environments.
- Good understanding of the main phases of project execution, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities, technical interfaces and projectdocumentation.
- Experience reviewing customer specifications and supplier technical documentation.
- Familiarity with Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations and vendor document review processes.
- Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to identify technical priorities, challenge proposed solutions and drive the resolution of open issues.
- Effective communication and stakeholder-management skills in an international and multidisciplinary environment.
- Hands-on, accurate and result-oriented approach.
- Fluent Italian and good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Availability for international business travel when required.

Compensation package with an indicative annual gross salary (RAL) ranging from €45,000 to €60,000, depending on the candidate's experience, technical expertise and level of autonomy.
