The researcher's scientific activity will be carried out within one or more of the following areas:

- Computer Architectures
- Databases
- Parallel Computing and High-Performance Systems (HPC)
- Data Science
- Software Engineering
- Artificial Intelligence
- Computer Networks
- Operating Systems
- Distributed and Mobile Systems
- and Computer Vision.

In particular, the researcher will apply innovative computer science methodologies and technologies to the study of relevant problems in the field of engineering. For this purpose, he or she may develop principles, methodologies, or technologies in collaboration with research groups within the Department working in the relevant areas. The researcher will also collaborate with national and international academic and industrial research groups, participating in research projects and third mission activities
