ph3Job Description /h3 pEffectively manages day-to-day team activities, providing guidance on projects, project management, and business opportunities within a highly matrixed organization. Supports the GMA Manager in defining and executing strategy through clear goals, KPIs, and performance metrics. /p pEnsures optimal resource allocation, monitors workload, and identifies alternative solutions through effective delegation. Drives a high-performing, engaged team while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Supports commercial objectives by ensuring balanced workload delivery aligned with UL’s Mission and customer expectations. /p pMaintains knowledge and supports project management activities, with focus on Safety, EMC, and Energy Efficiency regulatory domains, including understanding of the main technical characteristics of electrical and electronic products. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liCapacity Capability Management Implements and executes capacity and capability planning under Manager guidance. Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to understand project scope, including technical requirements in safety, EMC, and energy efficiency domains, ensuring effective resource allocation. Drives continuous process improvements to enhance delivery outcomes. /li liTeam Leadership Development Builds and sustains a high-performing team by managing performance, engagement, and development. Supports the definition of goals, KPIs, and metrics aligned with strategy execution. Coaches team members through training, feedback, and career development, including strengthening competencies in safety, EMC, energy efficiency, and product technical understanding. Ensures compliance with all policies and requirements. /li liCustomer Engagement Commercial Support Strengthens customer loyalty by anticipating needs and delivering proactive solutions.
Supports sales through strong customer relationships and pipeline awareness, including advisory support on safety, EMC, and energy efficiency regulatory requirements. Collects and acts on feedback to improve services and identify growth opportunities. /li liOperational Technical Support Provides guidance to team members and customers to resolve issues, including complex or non-standard requests related to product safety, electromagnetic compatibility, and energy efficiency compliance. Applies knowledge of the technical characteristics of electrical and electronic products to support accurate interpretation of requirements. Ensures quality, consistency, and adherence to applicable standards, schemes, and UL programs. /li liBusiness Growth Innovation Leads or contributes to strategic discussions and initiatives to drive growth. Encourages the team to identify and develop opportunities in regulated product domains related to safety, EMC, and energy performance, supporting UL’s market positioning. /li liCollaboration Change Leadership Demonstrates and promotes UL’s Vision and Mission. Leads change initiatives and fosters a culture of innovation and adaptability. /p h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMinimum 3 years of relevant experience /li liExcellent Knowledge of the TIC business and the industries in which the business functions. /li liAbility to navigate and make decisions in ambiguous environment with general guidance. /li liGood understanding of financial and business metrics for driving results /li liDemonstrates knowledge of how decisions impact business results, working with a diverse team and planning and thinking strategically /li liAbility to manage employee performance using performance expectations and goals and responding to employee relations issues. /li liDemonstrates the ability to listen, learn and teach. /li liAbility to take calculated risks and plan for contingencies. /li liHas regional/global responsibility as key resource for sales and operations in global market access pursuits /li liAbility to make the complex simple and present information in a concise, relevant and powerful manner. /li liSkilled in networking, project management, facilitation and communications /li liDemonstrated ability to independently identify needs for GMA projects or programs, formulate objectives, plan and execute projects and/or programs, and manage programs. /li /ul h3What we offer /h3 pThe annual salary range for this position in Italy is EUR gross, determined by numerous factors, including knowledge, skills, and experience. This position also offers an annual premio of up to 10% of annual salary.
