SENIOR BUYER – MECHANICAL

For aninternational industrial company operating in the automation and sensing technology sector , we are looking for aSenior Buyer - Mechanical who will be responsible for the strategic management of procurement activities related tometals, plastics and CAPEX , contributing to cost optimization, supplier base rationalization and the development of an integrated sourcing strategy.

The successful candidate will work closely with key business functions, includingOperations, R&D;, Finance and Quality , coordinating purchasing activities and contributing to the development of a structured, efficient and results-oriented procurement model.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and implement thesourcing strategy for the assigned categories, particularly metals, plastics and CAPEX investments.
- Strategically manage and develop thesupplier base , including supplier scouting, qualification, evaluation and rationalization.
- Lead structuredRFQ (Request for Quotation) processes and negotiate commercial and contractual terms.
- ConductMake or Buy analyses to optimize the utilization of internal production capacities, including machining and injection moulding departments.
- Identify and implementsaving and cost reduction initiatives , while ensuring quality, reliability and supply chain continuity.
- Centralize and harmonize purchasing categories shared across different plants and Group companies.




- Collaborate with international subsidiaries to ensure alignment withGroup guidelines and procurement policies .
- Define and monitorprocurement KPIs and prepare regular performance reports for the assigned categories.
- Work cross-functionally withOperations, R&D;, Finance and Quality to ensure alignment between production, technical and financial requirements.
- Contribute to the development of procurement policies focused onsustainability and ESG criteria .

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or diploma inEconomics, Engineering or a technical field .
- Proven experience as aSenior Buyer , preferably within industrial and manufacturing environments.
- Strong experience in managingmechanical and/or industrial procurement categories , particularly metals, plastics and CAPEX.
- Advanced skills instrategic sourcing, negotiation and supplier management .
- Knowledge ofMake or Buy processes and cost analysis principles.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in monitoringprocurement KPIs .
- Good command ofEnglish , essential for working in an international environment.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical and organizational skills.
- A pragmatic, results-oriented approach and the ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders from different business areas.
