Requirements
Master's degree or comparable qualification in
Aerospace Engineering
,
Mechanical Engineering
, or a related discipline.
At least
3 years
of relevant experience in the
AIT
area of
space systems
, with focus on
mechanical integration activities for satellites or payloads
.
Good hands-on knowledge of the
system engineering process
for
space projects
and familiarity with
AIT flows
and
documentation
.
Experience with
mechanical assembly, integration
and
verification activities
in
clean room
environments, including handling of
flight hardware
.
Familiarity with
MGSE/OGSE operations
, mechanical tooling,
alignment
equipment and instrumentation used during
satellite
integration
and
environmental
test campaigns
(e.g. vibration, thermal-vacuum).
Ability to interpret
mechanical drawings

CAD models
and
assembly documentation

Responsibilities
This position combines the role of the Mechanical Designer with the role of Mechanical AIT Operator for Satellite and/or Payload Integration within the AIT Unit, and you will be performing the following tasks:
Actively involved with the team in the definition of the Satellite and/or payload integration approach.
Responsible for the implementation of Satellite and/or Payload integration procedures.
Collaborate with AIT Team on the Mechanical Integration of structure of NAOS SM, EM and PFM model.
Collaborate with the AIT Team on the Mechanical Integration of the EM and flight units.
Collaborate with the AIT Team on the Mechanical Integration of flight harness.
Installation of thermal and mechanical sensors: thermocouples, thermistors, heaters, accelerometers.
Definition and implementation of MAIT processes and related documents.
Handling of Satellite and/or Payload and related MGSE, including use of cherry picker.
Mechanical support during the Satellite and/or Payload Environmental Test Campaigns.
Mechanical support during the Satellite Launch Campaigns.
