The proposed thesis topics to be carried out at Leonardo embrace a vast spectrum of technological, research and innovation areas:



from Artificial Intelligence to High-Performance Computing, from Cyber Security to Materials Engineering, passing through the aerospace sectors.
You will be able to explore the most cutting-edge areas of your field of study, with creativity and a spirit of innovation.
To support you during this experience, which will last a maximum of six months, a reimbursement of expenses is also provided.
We are looking for 10 young students for the Villaputzu (CA) site to be included in an internship with the aim of developing their degree thesis on the topic of Artificial Intelligence – Applications on the following topics: Real-time classification of agile radio frequency signals using Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) for cognitive spectral monitoring applications Automatic Recognition (ATR) on high-resolution Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images using Convolutional Neural Networks Evaluation and Mitigation of Vulnerabilities in AI-based sensing models through Adversarial Machine Learning techniques.
Detection and classification of Micro-Doppler signatures of small aircraft (UAVs) in complex urban contexts (Urban Clutter).
Compression and quantization of Deep Learning models for Edge hardware execution of the RF DSP Advanced Denoising techniques based on neural Autoencoders for improving the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) in UWB sensors.
Detection,



Classification and Tracking of Space Debris through Sensor Fusion (RF/Optical) enhanced by Artificial Intelligence.
Dynamic simulation and synthesis of electromagnetic scenarios for validation and testing systems through Generative Artificial Intelligence.
Autonomous optimization of spatial and frequency saturation strategies using Reinforcement Learning algorithms.
Design of a situational awareness interface supported by Natural Language Processing (NLP).
Education: Degree in STEM disciplines, with an interest in the world of Computer Science Behavioral skills: Proactivity; Ability to work in a team; Learning orientation; Flexibility.
Language skills: Advanced knowledge of the English language, level B2-C1.
IT skills: Office package; Main programming languages: Matlab, C, Python Other (e.g. Availability for business trips, specific certifications...): Availability to undertake short business trips within the national territory.
How does the selection process work?
Following the collection of applications, CVs that are most in line with the required qualifications are evaluated and identified.
Selected candidates undergo an introductory interview with the Human Resources team and with Business, where technical issues, motivation and personal aptitudes will be explored.
At the end of the process, the person receives feedback, both in case of a positive and negative outcome.
