This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all infrastructure meets the highest standards of reliability, efficiency, and scalability. /ppbr/ppThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex utility projects, utility infrastructure coordination, as well as experience working with cross-functional project and operations teams in a fast-paced, global environment. /ppbr/ppstrongKey Responsibilities: /strong /pulliEstablish project leadership for infrastructure projects, build and leverage partnerships with internal teams (development, construction, operations, finance, legal) and external stakeholders (consultants, authorities having jurisdiction, utilities providers, project partners, contractors) /liliCoordinate with and support (from a delivery perspective) CloudHQ’s EMEA Energy Lead in negotiations with utilities and grid operators to secure power capacity and manage interconnection processes. /liliLiaise closely with EMEA Power Systems Engineer to ensure a coordinated approach to delivering power solutions across the region. /liliLead project governance, reporting and approvals processes. /liliEnsure clear communication of project status, risks and identify where key decisions can be made or escalation to executive leadership is required. /liliLead projects from early-stage feasibility through construction to delivery of all CloudHQ’s utility Infrastructure across EMEA. /liliDefine and manage scope, budget, programme, and development strategy. /liliSupport Test-fit feasibility in respect of utility infrastructure requirements, planning and zoning constraints. /liliSupport power, water, fibre and water infrastructure availability. /liliConfirm alignment with project business cases and manage internal investment approvals. /liliSubsequently, with technical teams,
lead the development of concepts, basis of design, and detailed design packages for utility infrastructure (Substations, cable interconnections) /liliManage and coordinate multi-disciplinary consultants (architects, engineers, planners, project cost management consultants); /liliWith consultant support develop and manage project budgets and ensure cash flow alignment /liliCoordination and management of internal and external resources, and driving results in: /liliemChange management /em /liliemProcurement, confirming strategies, scope definitions and ensure Employer’s Requirements are complied with; /em /liliemProactive management of market conditions and ensuring an agile approach to adaption (supply chain, contractor availability, utilities constraints); /em /liliemGoal alignment/Stakeholder management; /em /liliemRisk identification and ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are in place; /em /liliemEstablish reporting protocols on scope and schedule as required, ensuring effective reporting to senior leadership; /em /liliEnsure establishment of a robust and detailed project programme that can be used to negotiate /liliEnsure delivery awareness, applying practical understandings of construction sequencing and logistics, commissioning and integration of systems to be able to handover to operational teams /liliEnsure projects are fully prepared for construction /liliEnsuring compliance with Environmental, Health Safety (EHS) regulations, and requirements. This should not be limited to your specialism but be across all disciplines /liliLiaise with our customers to assist them in the delivery of their preferred solutions into CHQ Data Centers and be part of the team that makes us the data centre provider of choice /liliConsult with global CHQ colleagues to ensure that best practice is uniform across all our developments, irrespective of geographic location /liliChampion CHQ initiatives on all projects; and /liliAdhere to and promote the core values of CHQ. /li /ulpbr/ppstrongRequired Experience Qualifications: /strong /pulliBachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred, relevant project management experience in delivery of large-scale utility infrastructure also acceptable. /liliMinimum 8+ years’ experience in delivery of utility connections or similar complex technical projects across EMEA; Data Centre experience preferred /liliBackground in complex industrial, grid infrastructure, pharmaceutical, or mission critical / high-tech development preferred if no data centre experience. /liliFluency in English is required.
