The Business Team

As part of the Business Team, you’ll help businesses improve their finances with Satispay. The team owns the financial backbone: fees, payouts, invoicing, compliance, and everything in between. If a business relies on Satispay to get paid correctly and on time, our team makes it happen. We move quickly, think boldly and trust each other to challenge the norm, learning and growing as we go.

What You’ll Be Doing

-

- Contribute to core platform domains: build, maintain and scale sensitive systems such as the Transaction Ledger, Identity & Access Management, or Payment Orchestration, working closely with senior engineers to keep these engines high‑performant, secure and functional for product teams.

- Develop risk & financial engines: implement and optimise services for bank integrations, credit risk and real‑time fraud detection, writing robust logic that protects Satispay’s source of truth.

- Collaborate on technical solutions: participate in technical analysis for new projects and feature developments, engage in discussions and contribute to high‑quality documentation (Smart Papers).

- Drive engineering quality: write clean,



maintainable code, implement rigorous testing strategies, execute safe rollouts, troubleshoot and resolve technical blockers, and promote a culture of simplicity in the codebase.

- Work in an AI‑powered environment: leverage AI tools daily to write and optimise code, speed up root‑cause analysis and generate documentation.

- Grow and collaborate: work with senior engineers to elevate your technical and architectural skills, support junior team members and help the team adopt best practices.

Profile We’re Looking For

-

- At least 3 years of experience as a Backend Engineer, with a proven track record of building and maintaining scalable microservices in fast‑paced contexts.

- Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot. Solid understanding of distributed systems and experience (or strong interest) in managing external dependencies like banking APIs.

- Good exposure to cloud environments (AWS is a plus) and relational databases (PostgreSQL).

- Reliability mindset: care deeply about system health, data integrity and clean business logic, and are comfortable debugging complex issues across services.

- Communication:



can explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with both technical and non‑technical peers.

- Passion for FinTech and fluency in English.
