pstrongAutomation Engineer - Contract | Immediate Start - Italy /strong /ppemInitial 3-month contract, with strong potential to extend to 6 months /em /ppbr/ppWe are recruiting on behalf of our client, who is looking for experienced Automation Engineers to join a fast-paced, multi-site automation programme across the UK and Europe. /ppbr/ppYou will work alongside the client’s in-house engineering and controls teams, supporting PLC code development, implementation, commissioning, testing and continuous improvement across a network of highly automated sites. /ppbr/ppThis is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Automation or Controls Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering complex, high-impact projects. /ppbr/ppYou will work on a site closest to you and remote support other locations. /ppbr/ppstrongWhat You’ll Be Doing /strong /pulliDeveloping, testing and commissioning PLC code using Siemens TIA Portal /liliSupporting fault-finding and troubleshooting on live automated systems /liliLeading and contributing to process improvement initiatives /liliIntegrating and migrating code across Siemens TIA Portal versions /liliSupporting the deployment and commissioning of new automation projects /liliActing as a key technical point of contact within a skilled team of contractors and permanent engineers /li /ulpstrongWhat We’re Looking For /strong /pulli5+ years’ experience coding and commissioning in Siemens TIA /liliStrong working knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal (version 16 and above) /liliExperience troubleshooting complex issues across Controls, Fieldbus (Profinet, Profibus, ASi) and IT platforms /liliExcellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical issues to a range of stakeholders /liliStrong project management, organisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and teams /liliGood written and verbal English /liliAbility to work autonomously with minimal supervision /liliSound knowledge of machine safety regulations and safe working practices /li /ulpstrongDesirable Skills /strong /pulliKnowledge of the Ignition platform for building SCADA/HMI systems /liliFamiliarity with SCADA and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) concepts /liliAbility to analyse performance metrics to drive process optimisation /liliExperience leading a change management process /li /ulpstrongHow to Apply /strong /ppIf you have a strong background in Siemens TIA automation and are ready for an immediate start, we’d love to hear from you.
