-- Within the Project Management and Methods and Process Management function of the Merchant Ship Directorate, the Warranty Coordination's tasks include overseeing the warranty management process, ensuring uniformity of behavior, timely resolution of interventions, and upstream feedback to activate corrective actions also on ships under future construction.
In this context, the role of the Guarantee Specialist is responsible for: supporting and coordinating the activities of all company functions involved in the warranty management process; personally managing activities related to specific issues, e.g., cross-cutting warranty topics, applicable to multiple ships and/or Customers; ensuring continuous improvement of the warranty process.
Activities The resource, inserted in the Warranty Coordination department within Project Quality, Commissioning and Warranty of the Merchant Ship Division, will be involved in the following activities: participating in the analysis and identification of corrective actions necessary to resolve problems, involving, as needed, the Design, Purchasing, Quality, PM Team, Legal Department and interested suppliers; personally managing specific problems, starting from problem analysis, up to the planning and supervision of interventions on board the ship, through the development of an action plan agreed with the Customer; ensuring the implementation of preventive actions in the design,



material procurement, production phases, to avoid the repetition of repetitive warranty problems or problems deemed repeatable on ships under future construction; monitoring process performance and costs related to warranty activities; producing dedicated internal reports; ensuring correct registration and archiving of information within the warranty management IT system.
Requirements A degree in naval engineering or mechanical engineering or a Technical Institute diploma (preferably Nautical Machine Operator, Naval Builder) is required.
3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in project-based companies and in the naval sector, is welcome.
The set of acquired skills will include: Ability to plan and organize activities; Relational skills to interact with internal and external customers and suppliers; Technical knowledge, self-learning ability; Knowledge of merchant ship systems is a preferential title; A good level of written and spoken English and a basic level of knowledge of IT tools (Microsoft Office) is required; Strong self-management skills, proactivity and determination in identifying and solving problems, cost awareness, ability to work under pressure, flexibility and adaptability are required.
