ppThe Installation Survey Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering survey activities that support the engineering and installation of submarine cable projects.
/p pThe role covers the full survey lifecycle, from scope definition and subcontractor management through to data review, reporting, and project close-out.
/p pThis position also contributes to route engineering, installation support, technical software development, and knowledge sharing within the Engineering Department.
/p pThe successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, survey subcontractors, and project teams to ensure that survey deliverables are completed to the required quality, schedule, and budget.
/p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liDefine and develop the survey scope of work in line with project requirements /li liManage survey subcontractors throughout the full survey lifecycle, including engineering, operational planning, mobilization, offshore execution, on-site supervision when required, reporting, and charting /li liMonitor survey quality, progress, and costs to ensure alignment with project objectives /li liSupport cable route design and detailed engineering related to cable installation and protection /li liReview, manage, and organize survey documentation and data for submission to the Employer or final Client /li liContribute to the overall performance and results of the Engineering Department through close cooperation with colleagues and stakeholders /li liPrepare and maintain forward planning of survey activities, including schedules, workload, and resource coordination /li liEvaluate survey subcontractor tenders and support the selection of the most technically suitable and commercially effective solution /li liSupport the management and development of engineering software and digital tools, including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, GIS Online, and other relevant platforms /li liContribute to engineering activities during project execution, including data analysis, route engineering, burial assessment studies, selection of suitable burial tools,
and evaluation of burial tool performance based on track records and/or numerical analysis /li liMaintain up-to-date knowledge of survey methods, equipment, software, and industry best practices /li liOrganize workshops and targeted training sessions to strengthen survey knowledge and awareness across Company personnel, particularly Installation technicians /li liSupport the Innovation team in developing innovative solutions and verify test and in field experience/test /li /ul h3Candidate Profile /h3 pYou are the right fit for this role if you have: /p ul liFluent English, both written and spoken; additional languages are considered an advantage /li liA master's degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline /li liA solid understanding of energy infrastructure and/or offshore environments /li liBasic knowledge of geophysical survey tools and survey methodologies /li liProficiency in GIS software, which is considered essential for the role /li liStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams /li liSound decision-making ability, critical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills /li liA collaborative, results-oriented mindset with the ambition to contribute to continuous improvement and project success /li liA highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently, effectively prioritize workload, and maintain a proactive and efficient approach /li /ul h3What We Offer /h3 ul liType of contract: Permanent /li liJob Level/Category: (Impiegato) in line with the applicable collective agreement.
