ppDXC Technology Italy is looking for an Observability Engineer / System Administrator to join the CI offering.
/p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesigning, implementing, and maintaining complex monitoring and observability platforms for infrastructure, applications, and services.
/li liIntegrating monitoring solutions with heterogeneous environments, including on?premise systems and public cloud platforms.
/li liManaging and evolving existing monitoring systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
/li liDefining monitoring standards, alerting strategies, dashboards, and reporting to support proactive incident detection and resolution.
/li liCollaborating with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to ensure comprehensive system visibility.
/li liContributing to incident investigation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
/li liProducing and maintaining technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
/li liActing as a technical reference and mentor for junior colleagues, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
/li /ul h3Requirements /h3 h3Monitoring Observability Tools /h3 ul liStrong hands?on experience with open?source monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana.
/li liFamiliarity with observability concepts and tools, including OpenTelemetry and Prometheus (considered a plus).
/li liExperience with commercial monitoring platforms such as Nagios XI and AWS CloudWatch.
/li liAdditional experience with Dynatrace and/or Azure Monitor is highly appreciated.
/li /ul h3System Administration Integration /h3 ul liSolid experience administering Linux?based systems in complex, distributed environments.
/li liProven ability to integrate monitoring platforms with existing infrastructure and operational processes.




/li liUnderstanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and system performance concepts.
/li /ul h3Cloud Hybrid Environments /h3 ul liPractical experience monitoring workloads deployed on public cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
/li liExposure to hybrid environments combining on?premise and cloud infrastructures.
/li /ul h3Work Location /h3 pRome with lavoro da remoto possibility.
/p h3Compensation /h3 pThe position offers a gross annual base salary starting from €36,000.
Compensation is determined in line with the applicable collective labor agreement (Contratto Collettivo Nazionale di Lavoro per l'industria metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti) and based on objective and gender?neutral criteria, including responsibility, experience and skills.
