PROFILE
Graduated with a Master of Engineering, Computer Science or another relevant field.
Significant experience in hardware development, especially in mechanical engineering.
Desire to focus on mechanical solutions, implementing them and addressing associated trends and concerns.
Team player who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment.
Customer?oriented mindset with clear understanding of organizational goals and strategies.
Rigorous and analytical, logically examining steps taken and outcomes to improve results.
COMPETENCIES
Strong technical background in mathematics, science and computer science, with extensive knowledge of mechanical laws, norms and standards.
Proficiency in mechanical technology and related tools, methods and processes:
Mechanical design: DS Catia, DS Solidworks, DS Smarteam, PTC Creo, PTC PDMLink, Siemens NX, Autodesk AutoCAD.
CAD modelling, drawings, bill of materials, data management.
Mechanical simulation: Ansys Mechanical, DS Abaqus, DS Dymola, MSC Nastran.
Experience in structural analysis (static, modal, shocks and vibrations), design optimisation, strength analysis.




Knowledge of mechanical testing: shocks, vibration tests, qualification procedures.
Strong problem?solving and decision?making skills, with curiosity and determination.
Ability to multitask, handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
LIFE AS A THALES MECHANICAL ENGINEERING ROLE
Perform a subset of all hardware engineering activities applicable to mechanical engineering.
Analyse mechanical needs using advanced studies, simulations, mock?ups, models and prototypes.
Describe mechanical functions, requirements and development plans.
Elaborate the data package to be transferred to production.
Collaborate with production and procurement to produce cost?effective, easy?to?manufacture design solutions.
Monitor, plan and organise mechanical activities to measure and report on technical progress.
Propose and justify technical, technological and methodological choices in accordance with approved mechanical architecture and design.
Monitor compliance of designs against target costs and lead time.
