Our Global Supply Chain is a network of more than 300 manufacturing plants, distribution centers and other facilities designed and located to support our direct sales, marketing and distribution activities. We are seeking an Associate Planning Manager to be responsible for a small organization or single site. As the Associate Planning Manager, you will optimize planning processes to support delivery, production, and financial (inventory) goals and work with various internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and implement improvements.
How you'll make an impact: May direct and coach the Planning and/or Scheduling team at a manufacturing facility focused on day-to-day or tactical tasks
Provide input to the creation of a strategic roadmap and be responsible for execution
Optimize planning processes to support delivery, production, and financial (inventory) goals
Work with various internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and implement improvements
Provide direction, delegate and remove obstacles to accomplish goals
Ensure adequate coverage of the department and backup coverage
Conduct onboarding and cross-training for team members
Provide support as needed to other plants and/or planning teams
Foster a collaborative work environment
Other areas of responsibility could include, but are not limited to, one or more of the following:
Sourcing and purchasing goods and services
Vendor approval
Purchase order authorization
Ensuring adherence to the production schedule
Identifying/correcting potential production problems
Order level service
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field of study
5 years of Planning, Logistics, Manufacturing experience
Experience leading and/or developing others
Proficiency with an ERP, advanced planning system, analytical system or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others
Leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to drive decisions and build consensus among stakeholders
Experience navigating through ambiguous and complex situations
Some experience in resolving conflict situations effectively, with minimal noise
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced technical or business degree
Experience in operational excellence and project management such as TPM, Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, Green Belt, etc.
APICS Certification
Direct people management experience
Strong business acumen and experience collaborating with Operations, Marketing and Customers
