About Your Opportunity Seqwater is one of the largest landholders in South East Queensland, managing more than 68,000 hectares across a diverse operational footprint. As Manager Property Services , you will lead enterprise-wide property services and provide trusted advice on land tenure, including leases, licences, easements, access arrangements and commercial agreements. Seqwater manages more than 500 leases, licences and deeds supporting a range of uses.
This role shapes how Seqwater manages, protects and optimises its property portfolio while supporting essential water services for communities. It operates in an active transaction environment, supporting acquisition of land for major capital projects and divestment of land no longer required. You will drive strategic property outcomes, strengthen governance and compliance, and lead a team to deliver practical, commercially sound solutions in a complex stakeholder environment.
Key responsibilities Lead the Property Services function, providing strategic advice, governance and assurance across land, leases, licences, easements and access arrangements (including two corporate offices >**** sqm).
Develop and deliver portfolio strategies that optimise utilisation, performance, risk, compliance and lifecycle outcomes.
Oversee the negotiation, governance and lifecycle management of property agreements,
ensuring commercial value and operational flexibility.
Manage complex land access matters and stakeholder negotiations, balancing operational requirements, compliance obligations and long-term relationships.
Drive financial planning and portfolio optimisation, including budgets, business cases and recommendations relating to land acquisition, divestment and office leases.
About you You are a confident property professional and people leader who can work across strategy, governance, commercial negotiation and operational delivery. You bring sound judgement, strong stakeholder skills and the ability to turn complex property matters into practical outcomes.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in property, land economics, law, business, asset management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Extensive experience in property portfolio, corporate real estate or land management across leases, licences, easements and access arrangements in complex environments.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including building team capability, setting direction and delivering outcomes through others.
Strong commercial and governance capability, including contract negotiation, financial management, budgeting and working within regulatory frameworks.
High-level stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders, regulators and external partners.
Sound technical knowledge of property and land management, including legislative compliance, portfolio planning and operational risk.
This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis with a competitive salary, plus *****% superannuation.
