/ppAs Associate Manager Logistics Operations, you will have the unique opportunity to help establish and shape logistics operations for one of dsm-firmenich's newest manufacturing sites.
You will build and develop a local logistics team while leading end-to-end transportation activities across road, air, and sea freight.
Your work will ensure reliable service to customers and production, support international trade compliance, and help create a world-class logistics operation from day one.
/ph3KEY RESPONSIBILITIES /h3ulliLead and manage end-to-end inbound and outbound logistics operations across road, air, and sea transportation, ensuring reliable and efficient material flows to support production and customer requirements.
/liliBuild, develop, and lead a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
/liliEnsure on-time delivery performance and operational excellence while maintaining business continuity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
/liliCoordinate transportation activities with internal stakeholders, external logistics providers, carriers, freight forwarders, and customs partners.
/liliEnsure compliance with customs, international trade, transportation, and dangerous goods regulations, while supporting the preparation and review of required shipping and export documentation.
/liliPartner closely with the Customs and Trade team to ensure regulatory compliance and effective execution of import and export processes.
/liliMonitor logistics service performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions that enhance service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
/liliSupport transportation invoice validation and logistics administration processes to ensure accurate and timely supplier payments.
/liliProactively manage logistics risks and disruptions, ensuring supply chain resilience and uninterrupted support for customers and production operations.

/li /ulh3COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS /h3pFor this role, the salary range is €49'000 – €50'000 gross per year.
Your offer within this range will be determined based on objective, gender-neutral and role-related criteria, including your relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and primary work location.

/ph3YOU BRING /h3ulliBachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
/liliExperience leading teams within logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
/liliAt least 5 years of experience in logistics or transportation in food, food ingredients, pharma, or related industries.
/liliKnowledge of multimodal transportation operations, including road, air, and sea freight.
/liliKnowledge of customs regulations, international trade processes,
and dangerous goods transportation requirements, including ADR and IATA frameworks.
/liliExperience working with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
/liliStrong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions, cultures, and regions.
/liliA proactive and accountable mindset, combined with strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
/liliFluency in English and Italian.
