ppFor our multinational client company specialized in the production of electromechanical components and systems, we are looking for a INGENEERING DIRECTOR.
/ph3POSITION SUMMARY: /h3pThe Engineering Director leads the Engineering function, ensuring effective technical strategy, product development, engineering governance, resource and budget management, compliance, and continuous improvement.
The role owns the Engineering processes and monitors their consistent application across the organization, including Engineering Services and Technical Support activities performed within the Business Segments, which report functionally to the Engineering Director for engineering standards, processes, and technical governance.
/ph3MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES: /h3ulliDefine and execute the Engineering strategy in alignment with business objectives.
/liliLead the Engineering function and directly manage Engineering and RD teams, ensuring the required skills, capabilities, and priorities.
/liliDefine, maintain, and improve Engineering and Product Lifecycle processes, standards, tools, and best practices.
/liliMonitor the application of Engineering processes across the organization, including Technical Support activities through functional reporting lines.
/liliManage the Engineering budget, resources, capacity planning, KPIs, risks, and project execution priorities.
/liliLead product development, innovation roadmaps, validation, certification, industrialization, and lifecycle management.
/liliEnsure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, environmental, safety, and sustainability requirements.
/liliProvide functional governance over Engineering Services activities, including reliability analysis, FMEA methodologies, RAMS/EN***** certification, product safety, homologation, and liaison with certification authorities.




/liliProvide functional governance over Product/Business Segment Technical Support activities, including technical support to sales and customers, documentation alignment, drawing reviews, FAI participation, and technical coaching.
/liliOversee product certification and technical compliance documentation, acting as authorized signatory where required.
/liliDrive Intellectual Property strategy, patent portfolio management, continuous improvement, and audit follow-up actions.
/liliRepresent the company in relevant technical and standardization committees.
/li /ulh3QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE: /h3ulliBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
/liliStrong knowledge of electronic and electromechanical components and systems for industrial applications.
/liliExtensive leadership experience in Engineering, RD, Product Development, or similar technical functions, including functional governance of Engineering Services and Technical Support activities.
/liliStrong knowledge of engineering governance, product development, reliability, certification, lifecycle management, budgeting, capacity planning, and technical support processes.
/liliExperience with product safety, homologation, compliance documentation, and international standards in industrial or transportation sectors.
/liliExperience coordinating an international engineering network, including Engineering staff in other locations, especially Best Cost Country Engineering Centers.
/liliFluent written and spoken English.
/liliExperience working with different cultures.
/liliOpenness to international travel.
