/p pYou'll work on meaningful problems: designing and shipping new API features, maintaining and evolving a microservices architecture on AWS, and integrating with AI and translation services to bring new capabilities to life.
You'll collaborate closely with other engineers, contribute to technical decisions, and have real ownership of what you build, even as someone earlier in their career.
/p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign, build,



and maintain backend microservices powering the Lara API /li liOwn features end-to-end, from technical design through to production /li liWork with our MySQL database and Redis layer /li liIntegrate with external services that handle translation and AI features /li liParticipate in code reviews, both giving and receiving thoughtful feedback /li liWrite tests and take code quality seriously (without being dogmatic about it) /li liCollaborate with teammates across engineering and product /li liWrite clear technical documentation that others can actually use /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul li+5 years of experience in backend software development /li liProficiency in Node.js with TypeScript /li liGood knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL) /li liSolid understanding of REST API design and server-side web application architecture /li liComfortable working with Docker and containerized environments /li liProficiency in Git and GitHub-based workflows /li liEnjoys owning problems end-to-end and will go out of their way to acquire whatever knowledge it takes to get the job done /li liExcellent communication skills, able to discuss technical topics clearly with both technical and non-technical people /li /ul h3Nice to Have /h3 ul liExperience with AWS services, especially ECS, S3, SQS, or Lambda /li liFamiliarity with Redis or similar in-memory data stores /li liExperience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD pipelines /liliKnowledge of Test Driven Development principles /li liExperience with the Fastify and Express web framework /li liFamiliarity with rate limiting, quota management,



or billing systems in a SaaS context /li liLinux shell scripting and Unix system administration /li /ul pTranslated is hosted at Pi Campus, a working environment immersed in nature where 5 luxury villas in Rome (Italy) have been converted into functional offices to foster talent growth.

The actual package depends on factors such as location, scope of responsibilities, and performance.
Compensation generally grows quickly as experience leads to greater contributions.
Exceptionally strong candidates may be offered salaries above this range to acknowledge their higher potential impact.
