In this role, you will take ownership of a high-profile portfolio of European insurance companies, focusing primarily on the Italian market (fluent Italian language skills are essential). You will be involved in:
Performing in-depth Financial Analysis and monitoring a dedicated portfolio of insurance issuers to prepare comprehensive rating committee documentation.
Directly interacting and liaising with issuers' senior management (CFOs, CEOs, Treasurers) during formal rating meetings.
Presenting and defending credit rating recommendations, ideas,
and analytical facts both verbally and in writing to rating committees.
Writing and publishing comprehensive, high-quality Insurance Credit Ratings reports, sector-specific research, and insightful market commentaries.
Keeping pace with broader market developments, responding to credit events, and supporting senior colleagues with external queries from investors and bankers.
You will have:
Professional fluency in both Italian and English (essential for managing the portfolio).
At least 5 years of analytical experience—ideally in credit, financial analysis, actuarial, FP&A;, or audit—gained within an insurance company, rating agency, bank, or accounting firm.
A strong educational background (minimum first university degree), preferably supported by a recognized Actuarial (Actuary), accounting, or auditing qualification.
A strong command of insurance financial statement analysis, accounting standards, and Solvency II / solvency requirements.
Excellent communication, presentation, and reasoning capacities, with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a collaborative team environment.
