Job Description
Japanese company specializing in industrial machinery and equipment is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to support installation, commissioning, training, and after?sales service of semiconductor manufacturing equipment at a customer site in Italy.
Required experience: mechanical engineering within the electronics or semiconductor industry; strong problem?solving skills; ability to work independently while cooperating with other engineers and liaising with customers.
Main Responsibilities
Install and commission semiconductor manufacturing equipment supplied by a Chinese manufacturer.
Provide operational training and technical support to customers.
Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and after?sales service activities.
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding technical issues.
Support equipment performance optimisation and problem resolution.
Prepare service reports and technical documentation as required.
Collaborate with supplier engineers during installation and support activities.
Ideal Candidate




5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer within the semiconductor industry.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
Ability to work independently and manage customer?facing technical support activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel internationally for training and project support.
Business level fluency (C1) in both English and Italian.
Contract Details
Type: Fixed?term Contract / Contractor (approximately 2 years, negotiable). Working hours: 9:*****:30 Monday to Friday. Salary: €*****k, depending on experience. Start: ASAP. Travel: Initial business trip to China for equipment training, with additional travel as required. Location: Catania, Italy (Customer Site) or Home?Based. Ref: KM*****.
