This role will also executes projects by reusing a production technology or architecture based on existing product(s).
/ph3SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES /h3ulliCoordinate testing activities according to test plans for the development of new engines, improvement of current engines and customization for new applications.
/liliDevelop testing activities for new product design, product improvements, customer product applications.
Develop and validate, from functional and reliability point of views, technical solutions for products, systems and components.
/liliCoordinate testing and development activities of engines executed by other teams.
/liliAct as reference for other function (Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Assembly) for testing activities on assigned engines.
/liliDirect work on assigned projects by technicians, involving testing and experimental activities.
/liliPrepares test plans, including task breakdowns and timeline and submit them to the manager /liliPrepare technical reports as requested to show progress and results achieved.
/liliEstablishes specifications, test plans and design documentation that satisfies a wide range of requirements.

discuss or request complex engineering analysis by the CAE team.
/liliDemonstrates a curious and pragmatic mind with the capacity to learn.
/liliKeep updated of state-of-the-art and important events in areas relevant to engine technologies, including electronic control, through publications, outside contacts, meetings, shows, seminars and short courses.
/liliSupport to manufacturing in case of new product start of production to assess thresholds and methodology of tests /li /ulh3RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS /h3h3Supervisory Relationships: /h3ulliReports to the Manager-Product Development, Diesel Engines; /li /ulh3Organization Relationships: /h3ulliFrequent contact with Product Concept, Platform, Engine Integration, and Quality teams /liliContact with Product Validation Team /liliOperates under close supervision /liliWorks closely and effectively with a range of cross-functional associates /liliIntegrates the work of technical experts into projects and assignments /liliContributes effectively as a team member /li /ulh3External Business Relationships: /h3ulliOccasional contact with engine component suppliers /liliOccasional contact with customers /li /ulh3EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS /h3pBachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
/ppOne year of related work experience or solid internship is preferred.
/ph3TECHNICAL KNOW-HOW COMPULSORY TO COVER THIS POSITION /h3ulliBasic knowledge of engine technology and components /liliGood knowledge of engine operation and Diesel combustion and emission process /liliBasic knowledge of electronics and electro-technical /liliBasic knowledge of electronic injection and control systems, technology and components.
