/p /brh3The Role /h3 /brpAs a Senior RD Expert, you will act as the technical link between European customer requirements and global product development teams.
Your focus will be on designing and optimizing excavators for demanding applications, ensuring machines deliver maximum efficiency, reliability, and customer value.
/p /brpYou will work on solutions for key market segments including: /p /brul /brliDemolition /li /brliMaterial Handling /li /brliWaste Recycling /li /brliCivil Engineering /li /br /ul /brh3Key Responsibilities /h3 /brh3Application Engineering Product Strategy /h3 /brul /brliAnalyse European application segments to understand customer requirements, workflows, productivity targets, and operational challenges.
/li /brliDefine technical specifications and performance requirements for excavator models and application-specific variants.
/li /brliDevelop concepts for specialized features, attachments, hydraulic configurations, and machine adaptations.
/li /br /ul /brh3Product Development System Integration /h3 /brul /brliLead the development and integration of application-specific solutions, including: /li /brliReinforced structures, heavy-duty systems,



and protection solutions for demolition applications.
/li /brliPrecision hydraulics, lifting configurations, and attachment integration for material handling.
/li /brliDurability improvements, filtration systems, and protection concepts for waste and recycling environments.
/li /brliEfficiency optimization and performance tuning for civil engineering applications.
/li /brliEnsure compliance with European regulations and standards related to emissions, safety, and noise.
/li /br /ul /brh3Testing Customer Collaboration /h3 /brul /brliDevelop and manage testing procedures to validate machine performance, durability, and reliability.
/li /brliCollaborate with European customers and dealers during field trials and pilot projects.
/li /brliEvaluate competitor products and identify opportunities for technical improvements.
/li /br /ul /brh3International Collaboration /h3 /brul /brliTranslate European market needs into engineering requirements for global RD teams.
/li /brliWork closely with attachment manufacturers and technical partners.
/li /brliSupport sales and marketing teams with technical expertise and application knowledge.
/li /br /ul /brh3Travel Requirements /h3 /brul /brliRegular travel throughout Europe and the UK (up to 50%) for customer visits, testing, and market analysis.
/li /brliOccasional international travel to collaborate with global RD teams.




/li /br /ul /brh3Your Profile /h3 /brpYou are an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in construction machinery and application-focused product development.
/p /brh3Required Qualifications: /h3 /brul /brlibMaster's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
/b /li /brlibMinimum 8 years of experience in RD, product development, or advanced application engineering within the construction machinery sector.
/b /li /brliStrong experience with excavators and application-specific solutions.
/li /br /ul /brpbProven experience in at least two of the following areas: /b /p /brul /brliDemolition /li /brliMaterial Handling /br /liliWaste Recycling /li /brliCivil Engineering /li /br /ul /brpbStrong knowledge of: /b /p /brul /brliHydraulic systems /li /brliStructural engineering /li /brliMachine integration /li /brliSpecialized attachments /li /brliProfessional English skills (written and spoken).
/li /br /ul /brh3Ideally, You Also Have: /h3 /brul /brliExperience working for a European OEM or equipment rental company.
/li /brliKnowledge of European regulations and certification requirements.
/li /brliAdditional European language skills (German, French, Scandinavian languages).
/li /brliBasic Mandarin knowledge is an advantage.
