is looking for a Milk Technician Specialist-Sicilia to join the Milk Purchasing Department of the
BU Milk
.
Reporting to the Milk Technician Manager of the BU Milk, the resource will have the following responsibilities:
Manage the relationship with milk suppliers starting from the first contacts, supporting them during the contract execution period regarding administrative, commercial, and technical aspects (managing the quality aspects of collected milk);
Coordinate the logistical and administrative aspects of collection based on assigned KPIs and the plant's needs, in collaboration with the central structures of the Milk Purchasing Department.
Manage the technical-commercial relationship with milk collection transporters and define the grid of unloading times at area plants, based on the milk plan and production plan, optimizing transport routes based on collection points and destinations;
Ensure raw material procurement and handling, in constant contact with the plant's planning structure and with colleagues from the Milk Purchasing Department;
Monitor the consistency between daily milk quantities reported in the slips, the weight detected at the plant, and quality parameters, in order to verify if the price paid to breeders is consistent with the quantity and quality of the milk received, managing any discrepancies.
Support the Milk Technician Manager in managing the verified payment process;




Continuously verify the performance of breeders in terms of volumes and quality of milk delivered, proactively communicating the necessary data to all relevant stakeholders.

REQUIRED SKILLS
Specialization in one of the following disciplines:
Agricultural sciences ? Degree in Agriculture, Degree in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies; Veterinary sciences ? Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Degree in Animal Production Sciences and Technologies; Biological sciences ? Degree in Biology, Degree in Biotechnology.
At least 1-3 years of experience in similar roles;
Knowledge of food quality and safety regulations, milk production processes, and quality control methodologies;
Good knowledge of the English language, French will be considered a plus;
Propensity for teamwork, excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Ability to work to deadlines;
Planning and work organization skills;
Propensity for continuous improvement;
Strong motivation and desire to approach a field challenge;
Order, discretion, reliability, autonomy, and precision;
Determination and proactivity.
KEY INFORMATION ABOUT THE POSITION
Work location: Ragusa (RG);
Availability for frequent travel to Catania and periodic travel throughout Italy.
