Experteer Overview
In this role you will develop and execute the Property & Liability risk strategy for the Italian market, reporting to the Property Team Leader. You will align with Group objectives and support Mid-Corporate targets while serving as the contact for selected agents. You drive profitability through disciplined underwriting, pricing, and cross-functional collaboration, shaping product strategy and local governance. This is a chances to impact a major corporate portfolio within a global insurer and work with cross-border teams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure underwriters comply with authority, pricing and rating guidelines
- Steer the local portfolio to meet financial targets
- Review end-to-end underwriting lifecycle with relevant functions
- Collaborate with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims and other product lines for marketing and cross-selling
- Maintain underwriting consistency and adherence to corporate governance and local regulations
- Support development and implementation of new or modified products
- Assist acquisition and retention of business including agent/broker negotiations
- Communicate local business strategy externally
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Engineering or Economics or Law
- 9-15 years of proven underwriting experience in profitable Property (PD/BI and Theft and Liability) for Corporate Clients
- Preference for experience with Multinational clients
- Proven leadership skills
- Expertise in risk assessment and policy administration lifecycle
- Strong pricing knowledge and market analysis
- Experience in wordings design and underwriting projects is a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in an international organization
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Data analytics
- Very good knowledge of Office 365 and collaborative tools
