ph3Job Description Summary /h3 pThe Global Process Engineer (GPE) will work closely with the Global Manufacturing Engineering Leader, the primary focus area will be developing and deploying global standards that improve the reliability, availability, and performance of Aero Alliance’s manufacturing equipment and processes. They will analyze data, and work cross-functionally to implement proactive measures that improve processes. This person will also be responsible for cost reduction through standardization of equipment and processes, establishing standards, and ensuring adherence to these standards. They will also be a focal point for new technology introductions, asset transfers, new process introductions; inclusive of lead time, technology selection and recommendations for fixturing, tooling, process, control plans, and qualifications of manufacturing assets. The GPE will coach and influence a dotted-line organization, comprised of factory manufacturing engineers across the Aero Alliance factories. Critical to the role is leveraging analytical skills, the lean methodology and the guiding principle of creating process standards for equipment (“One Product One Process”) to drive SQDC in line with business and functional objectives. The candidate chosen for this position will acquire strong technical knowledge and extensive exposure to manufacturing, engineering, quality, and safe process development. The selected candidate plays a key role in the Aero Alliance business, and in building a culture of inclusion and respect for people as well as continuous improvement. /p h3Job Description /h3 h3Roles and Responsibilities /h3 ul liDevelop, Qualify, and Improve manufacturing processes. /li liDefine global process standards and equipment standards and deploy them across the Aero Alliance factories, partnering with local factory technical leaders. /li liDefine, control, communicate global processes for manufacturing assets, including: facility integration, acceptance testing, machine health checks calibrations, preventative maintenance plans, spare parts strategy, technical technology training. /li liValidate engineering specifications and shop floor application of new processes. Including EHS, Manufacturing Engineers, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Industrialization, Materials, and Sourcing. /li liPartner with channels on the development of new repair processes and qualifications. /li liDevelop and implement reliability improvement strategies using industry best practices such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). /li liCollaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams to design and implement preventive and predictive programs. /li liDrive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing equipment downtime and improving quality processes. /li liLead investigations into failures and chronic issues, identifying root causes and implementing robust corrective actions to eliminate the problems from re-occurring. /li liProvide technical support for asset management, including equipment life cycle analysis and spare parts optimization. /li liTrain local factory manufacturing engineers to deepen their expertise in process and equipment. /li liParticipate in the design and installation of new equipment and implementation of processes, ensuring reliability is considered from the outset (Design for Reliability). /li liInterprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work. /li liUses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and can construct and provide recommendations.
