About the Company brDeal is a world leader in the field of specialised equipment for bridge and viaduct construction and all associated engineering services. Deal equipment has been used in the construction of over 5.9 million sqm of decks all over the world with Deal’s parent company executing directly roughly 2.5 million sqm of these. Deal provides services that range from conceptual and detailed design of pre-fabrication and erection systems, to the design and supply of specialised equipment such as launching trusses, straddle carriers, gantry cranes, casting machines as well as other custom lifting, moving and casting devices. brThe Design Engineer contributes to the successful delivery of DEAL's projects by developing safe, reliable and efficient mechanical and industrial engineering solutions for the Equipment Division, ensuring compliance with technical, contractual, quality and project requirements. The role supports both tendering and project execution by producing engineering designs and technical documentation, working closely with project teams and other disciplines to deliver technically sound, practical and cost-effective solutions aligned with project objectives, applicable standards and customer expectations. brEngineering Design Technical Development brDevelop engineering designs and technical solutions in accordance with project requirements, applicable standards and Company procedures. brPrepare engineering calculations, design reports, drawings, specifications and other technical documentation required for tendering and project execution. brPerform engineering analyses and technical verifications to ensure the safety, reliability and feasibility of proposed solutions.
brSupport the selection and optimization of engineering solutions to achieve technical performance, cost efficiency and constructability objectives. brIdentify technical issues, design risks and non-conformities, proposing appropriate corrective actions and technical solutions. brContribute to the management of engineering changes by evaluating their technical impact and updating engineering documentation accordingly. brProject Technical Coordination brReview customer specifications, contractual documents and technical requirements to ensure compliant engineering solutions. brSupport tendering activities by providing technical inputs, preliminary designs and engineering evaluations for proposal development. brCoordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Business Development, Procurement, Production and other internal functions to ensure the effective development of engineering deliverables. brCollaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure the integration and coordination of technical solutions across project activities. brSupport technical clarifications with customers, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors during tendering and project execution, when required. brEngineering Documentation Document Management brEnsure that engineering documentation is accurate, complete,
consistent and issued in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements. brMaintain engineering records, calculations and technical documentation within the Company's document management systems. brProfessional Development br~ Maintain and continuously develop the technical and professional competencies required for the role through active participation in training, learning and development initiatives. brbrMaster's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. brAt least 2-3 years of experience in mechanical and/or industrial engineering design, preferably in heavy equipment, steel structures or construction-related projects. brGood knowledge of structural analysis and engineering calculation principles. brProficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD). brGood knowledge of mechanical design, engineering drawings and applicable technical standards. brGood English knowledge. brStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate technical solutions and identify design risks. brAbility to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and effectively coordinate with internal functions, customers, suppliers and subcontractors. brProactive attitude, attention to detail and commitment to continuous learning and professional development. brPosition report to the Head of Engineering.
