This is a hands‑on role combining financial control, accounting, payroll coordination, and business partnering within a small, standalone entity environment. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liFinancial Control Accounting ul liMaintain full ownership of the general ledger and accounting records /li liRecord and analyse salaries, including payroll postings and reconciliations /li liManage fixed assets: capitalisation, movements, and monthly depreciation /li liRecord purchase invoices, staff expenses, and ensure compliance with deductibility rules /li liPrepare and post accruals and deferrals (GA and other costs) /li liManage bank postings, reconciliations, and transaction allocations /li /ul /li liPayments Cash Management ul liOversee and process all payments including salaries, tax payments, pension funds, suppliers, VAT, corporate taxes,
and other statutory payments /li liAct as secondary approver on banking platforms /li liMonitor cash flow and working capital /li /ul /li liVAT, Tax Statutory Compliance ul liPrepare and submit VAT returns and maintain VAT registers /li liManage quarterly and annual tax declarations /li liCoordinate with external advisors (CPA, payroll consultant) /li liEnsure compliance with Italian statutory and tax requirements /li /ul /li liManagement Reporting Planning ul liPrepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis /li liProduce additional reporting (e.g. Prophix reports) /li liSupport budgeting and forecasting processes including PL and GA cost planning, salary cost projections, reconciliation of budget/forecast vs. actuals /li /ul /li liPayroll Administration ul liAct as key interface with outsourced payroll provider /li liCollect and submit monthly payroll inputs including absences, sick leave, parental leave, salary adjustments, working hour changes, expense reimbursements, benefits /li liReview payroll outputs and ensure accuracy of payslips /li liProcess salary payments and resolve discrepancies /li /ul /li liEmployee Finance Administration ul liSupport onboarding processes (tax data, benefits, system coordination) /li liManage lunch voucher process (calculation, ordering, distribution) /li liSupport expenses process (with ongoing automation improvements)
/li liProcess premio payments in coordination with HR /li /ul /li liRevenue Intercompany Accounting ul liRaise and record sales invoices (including SDI e-invoicing) /li liManage recharge invoices and intercompany transactions /li liReconcile intercompany balances and agreements /li /ul /li liAudit Governance ul liLead the audit process and prepare statutory accounts /li liEnsure timely delivery of audit requirements and filings /li liMaintain strong internal controls and compliance /li /ul /li liTeam Stakeholder Management ul liManage and oversee the local finance resource /li liAct as the primary finance contact for the Italy entity /li liCollaborate with HR, regional finance teams, and external providers /li /ul /li /ul h3Skills Experience /h3 ul liQualified accountant or equivalent experience in Italy /li liStrong knowledge of Italian GAAP, VAT, and payroll processes /li liExperience in a broad, hands‑on finance role within a small entity /li liStrong understanding of end‑to‑end accounting and payroll /li liExperience working with external payroll providers and auditors /li liHigh attention to detail and strong organisational skills /li liFluent in Italian and English /li /ul h3Person Specification /h3 ul liHands‑on and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership /li liComfortable operating as a standalone finance lead /li liStrong problem‑solving and process improvement mindset /li liEffective communicator with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders /li /ul pAbercrombie Kent is an equal opportunity employer.
