We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Dimensional Management Engineer to provide high quality support to our customers.
- Datum & RPS Strategy: Define and document Reference Point Systems (RPS) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;) strategies for components and full assemblies.
- Tolerance Analysis: Perform 1D statistical tolerance stack-up calculations using Excel to evaluate the vehicle quality. 3D Reports evaluation.
- Capability Studies: Perform statistical capability studies to assess process variation, Six Sigma/SPC/MSA/CP/CPK
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Studio Design, Product Engineering, and Tooling vendors to optimize part locators and assembly sequences.
- Risk Mitigation: Driving DFM (Design for Manufacturing) strategies and delivering continuous product improvements to enhance quality, efficiency and manufacturability
- Data Verification: Analyze measurement data (e.g., 3D scan data, CMM reports) during prototype and pre-series phases to root-cause dimensional deviations.
Your skills that will help us to get ahead:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience: (3+ years) of experience in Dimensional Engineering,
Tolerancing or Metrology within the automotive industry (OEM or Tier 1 supplier).
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of GD&T; standards.
- Strong expertise in sheet metal (BiW), plastics or body interiors/exteriors.
- Software Proficiency:
- Knowledge 3D tolerance simulation tools (e.g., 3DCS , VisVSA , or Sigmetrix Cetol ).
- Hands‑on experience with CAD software (e.g., CATIA V5/V6 , NX or Creo ).
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem‑solving skills, data‑driven mindset and strong communication skills to align international, cross‑functional teams.
- Languages: Fluent in (English and Italian) (written and spoken), German a plus
Total compensation:
- Contract type: Permanent
- Gross annual salary (RAL): €38.000 – €48.000 (determined on the basis of objective, neutral, and verifiable criteria)
- Lavoro da remoto: individual remote working agreements
- Working hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) with flexibility
