Cubiq Recruitment
Software Engineer, Computer Vision Platform
The company
Tutte le competenze, le qualifiche e l'esperienza necessarie per un candidato di successo sono elencate nella seguente descrizione.
A humanoid robotics company in Northern Italy, building a robot that is already deployed and working in customer factories. Not a research programme and not a demo reel: a product in the field, doing a job, with people working alongside it. Small team, real robot, and the kind of engineering problems that only show up once something is actually in production.
The role
This is a software engineering role, not a research one. The perception models largely exist. What the team needs is the engineer who builds and owns the software platform underneath them: the services, the pipelines, the deployment onto constrained hardware, and everything that keeps the vision stack running reliably on a robot that is out in the world and expected to work.
You will sit across the AI, software and hardware teams and own your work end to end, from development through to what is running on the robot.
What you will do
- Design, build and own the software platform the computer vision stack runs on
- Deploy and optimise vision models on edge hardware, inside real compute and latency limits
- Build and maintain the data,
training and deployment pipelines around the perception stack
- Integrate perception with the wider robot software: APIs, messaging, streaming, services
- Work directly with the AI, software and hardware teams on live production issues
What you need
- Strong Python, with real software engineering discipline behind it: structure, testing, version control, CI/CD
- Commercial experience with computer vision or machine learning in a production environment
- Experience deploying software onto hardware and working within compute and memory constraints
- Experience owning something in production and keeping it alive in front of real customers
- Comfortable in a small team where the remit is broad and the job description is a rough guide
Useful, not essential
NVIDIA Jetson, TensorRT, ONNX, quantisation, OpenCV, PyTorch, Docker, Kubernetes, ROS or ROS2, MQTT, WebRTC, PCL, C++.
If the software engineering and the production instinct are there, the tooling is teachable. The team means that.
Why it's worth a look
The robot is already out in customer sites. xlwpduy Most humanoid robotics is still promises and funding rounds. This one you can point at.
