Our client is dedicated to making nuclear power more accessible and focuses on delivering: br Simple and Safe Micro-Reactor Solutions brGenerates energy at a rate of one megawatt electric (MWe) at a time brCapable of providing clean energy and radioisotopes where needed brInitially supporting the reactor licensing process in the United States brAiming to become a leading technology provider in global energy solutions brCommitted to innovation and sustainability brThis collaboration offers a unique chance to be part of a High-Performance Team brFocused on delivering essential energy solutions worldwide brbrThe Nuclear Fluid Systems Engineer will be responsible for: brResponsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of fluid-based systems in nuclear power plants, research reactors, and other nuclear facilities. br✅ Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of cooling, steam, and hydraulic systems while maintaining strict compliance with nuclear safety and regulatory standards. brWorking closely with reactor engineers, regulatory agencies, and maintenance teams to develop and improve system performance, reliability, and safety. brDesigning, analyzing, and optimizing nuclear fluid systems, including reactor coolant, steam generation, condensate, and hydraulic systems. brConducting thermal-hydraulic modeling, flow analysis, and pressure drop calculations to ensure system efficiency and safety. brDeveloping and maintaining system documentation, including flow diagrams, PIDs, operating procedures, and safety reports. brPerforming system reliability assessments, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for fluid system failures. br✅ Ensuring compliance with NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) regulations, ASME codes, and other industry standards.



brCollaborating with reactor engineers, safety specialists, and regulatory bodies to enhance fluid system performance. br️ Supporting the testing, commissioning, and maintenance of fluid systems in nuclear facilities. br⚙️ Assisting in plant modifications, upgrades, and retrofits for improved efficiency and regulatory compliance. brEvaluating material compatibility and corrosion effects to ensure long-term fluid system integrity. brProviding technical support and training to plant operators and maintenance personnel. brMaster’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field. brExperience: ⏳ 3-7 years in fluid system design, thermal-hydraulic analysis, or nuclear plant operations (entry-level positions may require internships or co-op experience). brCertifications (Preferred): PE (Professional Engineer) license, ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) certification, or equivalent industry credentials. brExpertise: In fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles. brIn hydraulic modeling and simulation software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, STAR CCM+, Flowmaster). brKnowledge: Of nuclear reactor coolant systems, heat exchangers, and steam turbines. brFamiliarity: With ASME BPVC, NRC regulatory requirements, and ANSI standards for nuclear fluid systems. brExperience: With computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus. brEffective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with engineers, operators, and regulatory agencies. brA commitment to nuclear safety and compliance. brAbility: ⏲️ To work under pressure and manage multiple projects with strict deadlines. brbrPhD degree. brIPO experience. brWritten and oral fluency in Italian.
