We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build the core software engine of our 5G NTN infrastructure. You are a programmer who thrives on writing high-performance, maintainable code for complex systems. While you will operate within the 3GPP standardization landscape,
your primary focus is on the design, implementation, and optimization of the protocol stack.
You will lead by example, writing clean code and establishing development practices that allow us to scale our 5G satellite solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect & Code: Architect and implement complex C/C++ software modules for RAN and Core Network components.
- Performance Engineering: Profile and optimize critical-path code to meet the strict latency and resource constraints of satellite communication.
- Development Practices: Use of modern C++ standards, unit testing frameworks, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Code Quality & Mentorship: Lead code reviews to enforce architectural standards and best practices, mentoring team members on writing robust, thread-safe, and efficient code.
- Debugger: Master the use of advanced debugging tools and protocol analysers to solve deepseated logic issues in multi-threaded network software.
Required Qualifications
- Expert-level proficiency in C and C++.
- Strong grasp of multi-threaded programming, memory management, and data structures as
- applied to network software.
- Professional experience with Linux development environments, Git, GDB, and CI/CD
- orchestration.
- Proven record of translating technical specifications into production-grade, modular
- software.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Our Offer
- Permanent employment contract under the Italian Metalworking Industry National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria).
- Gross Annual Salary (RAL) ranging from €45,000 to €50,000, depending on the candidate's skills and experience as assessed during the selection process, plus a performance-based variable premio ranging from 5% to 10% of the gross annual salary.
