By embracing diversity, we believe science can achieve its fullest potential. /p h3THE ROLE /h3 pYou will be working within the Humanoid Human‑Centred Mechatronics Research Unit at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in a multicultural and multi‑disciplinary group with strong expertise in robot design,



modelling and control of new mechatronics components. The unit is coordinated by Nikos Tsagarakis, who has extensive experience in Robotics and Mechatronics. The research concentrates on robot design exploring state‑of‑the‑art design approaches (structural, actuation and transmission systems) combined with advancements in control including whole‑body loco‑manipulation generation, balancing regulation and teleoperation control. /p pWe are looking for a highly motivated, skilled and enthusiastic Junior Electrical/Electronic Assembly Engineer with interests in realizing assembling and troubleshooting of electrical/electronic subsystems for customized robotic systems. The selected candidate will be in charge of the electronics and electrical subsystems assembly, upgrades, troubleshooting and maintenance of a new robotic platform under development within the Humanoid and Human‑Centred Mechatronics Research Unit. /p h3ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS /h3 ul liExcellent hands‑on skills in the assembly of electrical and electronic parts and preparation of customized power and communication cables to fully assemble novel customized robot prototypes.



/li liVery good experience in inspection and evaluation of electrical and electronic hardware issues and electric/electronic maintenance and troubleshooting of robot prototypes. /li liVery good understanding of the operation of standard electrical/electronic workshop equipment and tools such as soldering station tools, crimping tools, multi‑meter and oscilloscope devices for preparation and testing of customized wiring and connector arrangements. /li liVery good experience in understanding and working with electrical drawings and experience in the generation of Electrical/Electronic documentation and maintenance manuals. /li liInteraction skills with electronics fabrication workshops and evaluation of manufacturers and suppliers for the fabrication of nonstandard PCB components. /li liExperience in the maintenance of electrical/electronic workshop tools and components. /li /ul h3ADDITIONAL SKILLS /h3 ul liKnowledge of Electrical/Electronic circuit design software tools (ECAD) is welcome and will be a plus. /li liExperience in using standard electronics/electrical equipment. /li liStrong problem‑solving attitude. /li liHigh motivation to learn. /li liGood in time and priority management. /li liAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment. /li liGood communication skills in English. /li /ul h3COMPENSATION BENEFITS /h3 ul liA yearly gross salary up to 30k euro, with premio options depending on role and contract. /li liPrivate health care coverage. /li liFlexible working time. /li /ul pOpen until filled. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
