**Location**: based in our offices in Milan, on a hybrid working schedule (3 days/week in the office + 2 days/week working from home). **About the role**:
As an Accountant in Boston Scientific you will perform a variety of complex duties in general accounting (such as analyzing accounts, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and performing the monthly financial close activities) and Account Payables including compliance of sponsorship activities. **Your Responsibilities Will Include**: - Check of compliance for proposed Sponsorship initiatives.
- Account payable processing of Sponsorship invoices to grant timely payments.
- Laise with Shared-Service Team for queries regarding account payable processing.
- Month-End accruals and closing checks.
- Support the Accounting Team in the identification and resolution of issues and queries by interacting with Business Support team, Sales Divisions and Legal.
- Provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Support yearly Transparency requirements.
- Assures financial accuracy by preparing accounting statements and reports.
- Support to SOX program.
- Ensure accuracy of various areas while performing month-end close including General ledger, accruals, VAT, Fixed Asset, Operating expense.
- Ensure compliance with internal finance policies and procedures.
- Takes an active interest in seeking opportunities for continuous improvement of processes.




- May collaborate with mixed groups or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals and respect of deadlines. **What are we looking for in you?**
- Ideal 2+ years of experience in the Accounting activities (in multinational companies would be a plus)
- Ideal fluency in English (B2+ level).
- Very good skills in Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP.
- Eager to learn new tasks and to work in a stimulating working environment.
- Analytical skills and critical thinking.
- Good Communications skills.
- Good team player.
