John Cabot University, a regionally accredited American university in Rome, is seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and self-motivated candidate to fill the position of Residence Director (RD) to join the Residential Life staff . The RD is responsible for the overall management of the residential community including Resident Assistant supervision, student development, community building, collaboration with student staff, crisis response, and daily housing operations. The RD is required to live onsite in one of JCU’s residences and respond to emergencies during evening and weekend hours, including in-person intervention as required.
This is a full-time (38 hours/week), live-in, one-year contract with the possibility of renewal. The gross annual salary ranges from €21,500 to €23,400, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience. In addition, the position includes a fully furnished accommodation with utilities included and €8 meal vouchers (buoni pasto) for each working day.
While this is a full-time, live-in role, it is not a traditional 9-to-5 office job. The RD will maintain regular office hours while rotating on-call duties, including evenings and weekends, to respond to student emergencies.
