An Operatore Socio Sanitario (OSS) provides essential care and support to patients, elderly individuals, and people with disabilities in hospitals, nursing homes, residential care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and home care settings. The OSS works alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive high-quality personal care while promoting their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Help patients with mobility, transfers, walking, and positioning using appropriate safety techniques.
- Monitor and report changes in patients' physical or emotional condition to nursing staff.
- Support patients during meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients.
- Assist with making beds, changing linens, and ensuring patient rooms are tidy.
- Help transport patients to appointments, examinations, or therapy sessions.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures, health and safety regulations, and organizational policies.




- Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

- Certification as an Operatore Socio Sanitario (OSS) recognized in Italy.
- Knowledge of basic patient care techniques, hygiene standards, and infection control.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude toward individuals of all ages.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and daily care tasks.
- Availability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, or home healthcare.
- Basic first aid and emergency response knowledge.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and dignity.

Job Types: Full-time, Tempo parziale

Pay: €19,000.00 - €26,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
