BIM Coordinator MEP

Description

The BIM Coordinator plays a key role in the process of designing and implementing works with digital approaches (BIM). He or she is recognized as a discipline contact and is responsible for coordinating the project team.

As a Project BIM Coordinator in the MEP environment, the successful candidate will contribute to plant projects that will include integrated modeling approaches. He/she will need to demonstrate experience in coordination, analysis and verification of large plant projects.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the multidisciplinary design team, the Plant BIM Coordinator will be responsible for:

- Organize and verify the work of one or more operational teams on different projects
- Produce reports and progress reports on work and operational teams
- Coordinate with engineers in other business areas and disciplines involved
- Attend and contribute to project meetings (internal and external)
- Knowledge of MEP models and management of MEP design information from bid phase to project closeout
- Delivery of digital outputs within project teams and information sharing with other discipline teams
- Activity level and BIM model management
- Develop and maintain excellent team relationships through successful project execution

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in civil,



mechanical or environmental engineering with a grade of not less than 100/110

Essential skills

- At least 2 years of work experience in the plant engineering industry
- At least 2 years of experience in coordinating plant BIM projects
- Professional certification of Autodesk Revit software (optional)
- Ability to analyze and verify plant projects
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software package
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project software

Desired skills

- Master’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical)
- Experience in process automation and modeling tasks using macros and scripts (Dynamo/Grasshopper)
- Experience in teams adopting AGILE project management
- Foreign experience (Erasmus, internships at international firms…)
