CRS Industrial Power Equipment

The mechanical design engineer is responsible for designing complete industrial machinery and systems, from concept to production, using 3d cad tools. The ideal candidate has experience in the full product lifecycle (design, development, testing, support), excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, and strong communication skills to collaborate across departments. We are looking for an open-minded, proactive professional eager to learn and contribute to high-value projects.

Job Summary

Design enclosures, heatsinks, busbars, brackets, and sub-assemblies for industrial smps and power conversion equipment using autodesk inventor

Develop and maintain cohesive 3d product families with clean parametric structure and version-controlled documentation

Independently conduct cfd/thermal simulations to evaluate forced-air and liquid-cooling designs, heatsink geometries, and airflow paths

Perform structural fea for vibration, shock, and mounting load cases relevant to industrial equipment

Translate simulation results into actionable design decisions — materials, fin density, fan selection, coolant routing, or structural reinforcement

Coordinate with the electronics team on component placement to support both electrical performance and thermal management goals

Ensure designs conform to applicable mechanical and safety standards for industrial electrical equipment (E.G. IEC 61439, UL 508A, IP/NEMA ratings as required)

Support production during new product introduction — resolving assembly issues and translating verbal knowledge into clear written procedures
