Structural Engineer

We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Research and Development team at the Parabiago (MI) site, with immediate availability.

LOCATION:
Parabiago (MI)

DUTIES
The candidate will work independently and in team covering the following activities:

- Develop and maintain Finite Element Model (FEM)
- Run models for static, thermoelastic, modal and dynamics structural analyses (sinusoidal, random and shock)
- Verify bolts and joints following ESA standard
- Provide input to the Optical team for Structural-Thermal- Optical-Performance (STOP) Analysis
- Issue structural analysis report
- Perform test predictions
- Provide notching plan
- Develop qualification and acceptance environmental test procedures (vibration, shock, sample destructive test)
- Support the test campaign (vibration, shock, sample destructive test)
- Issue the test reports
- Perform FEM correlation on the base of the test results
- Support to the system project engineer for the definition of the:



Design Development and Verification Plan, Test Plan
- Support the discussion with the customer during the main reviews PDR/CDR/TRR/PTR/TRB
- Perform quick structural assessment by “hand calculation”

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Scientific degree
- Working experience: 2-5 years
- Data analysis
- Good spoken and written English level

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS:

- Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- Working experience > 3 years
- Good knowledge of Nastran/ NX Nastran as a processor
- Preferred pre and post processor is Simcenter
- Previous experience in aerospace projects
- Knowledge of the aerospace standards ECSS, MIL
- High flexibility and team-working skills
- Good spoken and written English level
