ppThe Business Controller supports the business through budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis and management reporting. Acting as a Finance Business Partner for the different North Sails Apparel functions, the role helps provide financial and business insights, analyze key performance trends and support operational and strategic decision-making, with the objective of driving sustainable growth and improving profitability. /ph3Job Description /h3pWe are seeking a motivated, curious and analytical Business Controller to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Controlling Manager and partner with the different North Sails Apparel functions to support budgeting, forecasting, business analysis and performance reporting activities. /ppActing as a Finance Business Partner, the role will support managers in understanding business and financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and defining actions to improve profitability and support informed business decisions. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliAct as the Finance Business Partner for assigned business functions, providing financial guidance and supporting strategic and operational decision-making. /liliPartner with department leaders to monitor budgets, evaluate investments and identify opportunities to improve financial performance. /liliSupport the annual budget, periodic forecasts and long-range planning processes. /liliPrepare and analyze monthly management reports, highlighting key business trends, risks and opportunities. /liliMonitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions. /liliDevelop ad hoc analyses, financial models and business cases to support business initiatives and operational decisions. /liliMonitor key business and financial KPIs, proactively identifying risks and opportunities. /liliSupport month-end and year-end closing activities from a controlling perspective, working closely with the Accounting team. /liliContribute to the reconciliation and validation of financial and accounting data used in management reporting.
/liliPrepare presentations and performance reviews for management. /liliContribute to the continuous improvement of reporting tools, dashboards and controlling processes. /liliEnsure the quality, consistency and integrity of financial data. /liliSupport the implementation and optimization of ERP and Business Intelligence reporting tools. /liliStrong analytical and critical thinking skills. /liliCuriosity and willingness to understand business dynamics. /liliGood communication and stakeholder management skills. /liliAbility to translate data into meaningful business insights and contribute to business decisions through accurate and data-driven analysis. /liliGood knowledge of accounting topics and ability to interact effectively with the Accounting team. /liliGood planning and organizational skills. /liliAbility to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines. /liliProactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach. /liliHigh level of accuracy, integrity and accountability. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliDegree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration. /liliAt least 3 years of experience in Business Controlling, Controlling, FPA or Financial Analysis, preferably within an international environment. /liliGood knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting processes. /liliGood knowledge of key accounting topics and month-end/year-end closing processes. /liliAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools is considered a strong advantage. /liliStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into business insights. /liliGood command of English, both written and spoken.
