In this role you will lead AI validation and governance for Generali's Group Data, AI & Automation, shaping a robust model risk framework for ML and GenAI. You will work across the AI lifecycle, provide independent oversight, and drive scalable governance, while staying hands‑on with model design, validation, and monitoring. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure compliant, robust, and explainable AI in business‑critical contexts. This role offers the opportunity to define standards, tools, and processes that reinforce Responsible AI across the organization.
Retribuzione / Benefits

Independently validate AI/ML and GenAI systems across the lifecycle including data quality and performance
Align validation practices with regulations (EU AI Act) and internal risk appetite, translating requirements into processes and controls
Identify key risks (bias, explainability, compliance) and define validation controls and mitigations
Design and implement continuous monitoring and alerting for production AI systems (drift, emerging risks)




Ensure ongoing lifecycle compliance through periodic re‑validation
Create reusable governance and monitoring components for scalable AI governance
Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders as second line of defense
Maintain documentation to support audits and contribute to standards and best practices
Responsabilità

Strong expertise in machine learning, Generative AI and agentic AI with knowledge of AI lifecycle frameworks and governance practices
4-7+ years in AI/ML validation, model risk, or AI governance in regulated environments
Advanced Python programming with hands‑on xlwpduy experience in core data science libraries (pandas, scikit‑learn, LightGBM)
Ability to develop clean, modular, maintainable code with focus on robustness and reproducibility
High autonomy, proactive attitude, collaboration skills, understanding of regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act) and explainability tools
Italian and English working proficiency
