System Engineer - Powertrain System Development

Ankers is looking for a System Engineer to join the System Development team, responsible for the design, development, and release of engine sub-systems. The role ensures that system-level targets are clearly defined, achieved, and validated throughout the project lifecycle, selecting the most appropriate architecture and design solutions. The System Engineer also reports project status, risks, and key technical decisions to management, ensuring transparency and alignment during development. * Identify and collect system requirements to ensure alignment with product targets * Monitor requirement definition status and assess associated technical risks * Analyze design alternatives and select the optimal system architecture using structured decision?making tools * Prepare system schematics and boundary diagrams * Perform technical risk assessments and develop System FMEA * Deploy and communicate system requirements across all interfaces (components, controls & software, other systems, vehicle) * Evaluate design and process changes compared to a reference engine * Define and track system validation plans (virtual and physical)
* Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for system?level issues * Strong knowledge of system functionality and interactions with boundary systems and components * Ability to lead technical discussions and coordinate cross?functional teams * Capability to manage complex workflows and ensure timely delivery * Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders * Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or similar * Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Development (automotive or commercial vehicles) * Knowledge of product development processes * Familiarity with MBSE and project management tools is a plus * Fluent in English and Italian What We Offer * The opportunity to join an innovative project in the electric mobility sector. * A dynamic and innovation?driven working environment. * Opportunities for professional growth and career development. * Indicative annual gross salary (RAL): €28,000 – €35,000, commensurate with the candidate's experience and skills.
