ph3Power Converter Engineer /h3 h3Location: Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy /h3 pThe Power Converter Engineer will be part of the team in charge of assessing new converter architectures and components. The role involves developing power products that meet company goals, customer needs, and industry standards, while collaborating with service, manufacturing, and procurement teams to address issues throughout the design process. /p h3What kind of work will you be doing? /h3 ul liAnalyze and test future conversion topologies and components with the team. /li liPerform lab tests to increase technology readiness and verify performance. /li liCoordinate with engineering divisions and offerings to define product specifications. /li liSupport the testing team in creating plans and assessing results. /li liPrepare technical documents, including drawings and component specifications. /li liApply lessons learned from previous projects to new ones. /li liReport progress, risks, and solutions to stakeholders and management promptly. /li /ul h3What will make you successful? /h3 ul liDegree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field. /li li3+ years of experience in UPS or power conversion platforms (AC/DC, DC/DC, etc.). /li liSubstantial knowledge of IGBT, MOSFET, SiC power switches, and magnetic component basics. /li liAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting. /li liProficiency with engineering design tools and methodologies (PLECS, Spice). /li liStrong planning, analysis, and communication skills.



/li liCollaborative team player with solid problem‑solving skills. /li liCustomer‑oriented and open to travel requirements. /li liGood written and spoken English. /li liExperience in technical documentation and test procedures. /li liComplete knowledge of laboratory measuring instrument operation (oscilloscope, wattmeter, etc.). /li liProven experience in prototype development, tuning and testing. /li /ul pTravel required on an occasional basis (10%), including international travel for NPDI product reviews and corporate meetings. /p pVertiv is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
