We are currently seeking a Modeling System Thermal Engineer to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy

Vertiv is seeking a thermal engineer to support the development with global thermal system modeling tools. In this role, you will be working with a team of engineers supporting in simulating thermodynamic models of Vertiv’s HVAC products to support the global Application and Offering teams.

What kind of work will you be doing?
- Develop accurate, high-performance mathematical models for HVAC components (evaporators, condensers, compressors, fans, pumps)



using physics-based equations.
- Design and implement efficient, stable algorithms to simulate single- and multi-circuit HVAC systems, including chilled-water CRAC units, air-cooled & water-cooled liquid chiller and liquid cooling configurations.
- Apply advanced numerical methods to solve complex multi-circuit system schemes with high computational efficiency.
- Prepare technical documentation on thermal modeling and analysis.
- Utilize primary programming language for modeling tasks like Cadence, FlowNex, MathLAB Simulink, FloMaster, Simscale

What will make you successful?
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on thermodynamics.
- Solid understanding of single-phase and two-phase fluid dynamics, refrigerant mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
- Familiarity with numerical methods and iterative approaches for refrigerant circuits and
