Job Overview
Mirafiori Engine Dynos area has, over the past decades, witnessed the birth, evolution, and development of the most successful engines in our history. The equipment managed in this area is a fundamental asset for product development, even more so now that improving the efficiency of internal combustion engines is at the heart of the company’s strategy, which aims to offer highly competitive hybrid solutions.
We are seeking an accountable, proactive and results-oriented operations responsible (named Supervisor hereafter) for Mirafiori Engine Dynos. He/she will play a leading role in renewing the supervisor’s role,
becoming the pivot around which the department’s activities are carried out.
The Supervisor will be responsible for managing the blue-collar team during the assigned shift, ensuring the execution of the area’s main activities, including
- Carrying out ongoing tests at engine test benches;
- ·Installing engines on test benches for subsequent testing activities;
Both activities must be performed in accordance with customer requirements, while ensuring compliance with Quality and Safety standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Dynos Supervisor include but are not limited to the following:
- Organize blue-collar activities, balancing workloads and ensuring adherence to the assigned priorities.
- Supervise ongoing test on running engines, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and compliance with testing protocols and safety standards.
- Coordinate engine installation, in collaboration with other departments, according to customers requirements.
- Monitor and maintain testing equipment and facilities, involving support and maintenance teams in the event of failures.
- Handles troubleshoot operational issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor area KPI (testing efficiency) and act proactively to improve it.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments and external partners to support the achievement of testing efficiency targets.
- Support audits and inspections by regulatory entity or clients.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- EDUCATION: technical high school diploma (mandatory) - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (plus).
- SKILLS: Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with test administration software or platforms.
- 3 shifts availability is mandatory, plus 1 shift over weekend;
- availability to extra time if needed will be a plus.
- LANGUAGES: Italian mother tongue or at least profiency
- Basic writing and speaking English (B1) mandatory - Good writing and speaking English (B2) will be a plus.
- EXPERIENCE: 4 years of experience in operations, preferably in a testing or workshop environment. Proven leadership and team management skills.
Offer
- Salary range: from 39.000€ to 42.000 €, that will be defined depending on the level of adherence of the candidate to the job requirements
- Collective Agreement: In accordance with the provisions of the Specific Collective Labour Agreement (CCSL – CNEL code: CO10), and in particular with regard to the classification within the third professional area.
