We are looking for an HR Manager to lead the HR function locally, working in close partnership with the Managing Director and the leadership team. This is a standalone HR role with full ownership of the function in Italy, combining operational responsibility with exposure to business and organizational topics.
The role covers the full employee lifecycle and plays a key part in ensuring effective people management across the organization.
What you’ll do
The HR Manager, reporting directly to the Managing Director, will be involved in the following activities:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for all roles, including defining the most effective sourcing strategy, selecting recruitment channels, CV screening, and support hiring managers throughout selection;
- Manage the hiring and onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and engaging employee experience from day one.
HR Administration
- Oversee HR administrative processes (e.g.
time & attendance management, payroll process review, monitoring of annual leave planification);
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases;
- Act as the main point of contact for employees on day-to-day HR matters.
Compliance & Policies
- Ensure compliance with Italian labor laws and regulations, in collaboration with external labor consultants;
- Develop, implement, and maintain local HR policies in alignment with Group guidelines.
Training & Development
- Plan and coordinate mandatory and non-mandatory training programs (internal and external, funded and non-funded);
- Support the design of career paths and succession planning for key roles.
Performance Management
- Coordinate and oversee the annual performance management cycle;
- Manage tools and processes, contributing to calibration and consistency across the organization.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Support line managers in employee relations issues and conflict resolution;
- Handle disciplinary procedures and employee complaints;
- Promote company culture and corporate values through internal communication, initiatives and events.
Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations;
- Coordinate mandatory training and medical check-ups;
Reporting & HR Analytics
- Prepare monthly HR reports for the Managing Director and Group HR;
- Provide data analysis and insights to support strategic workforce decisions.
- Partner with the Managing Director in the definition and monitoring of the staff budget, providing workforce cost analysis, budget variance reporting, and recommendations to support organizational and business decisions.
What you’ll bring
- 5 – 7 years of HR generalist experience, ideally in financial services or similarly structured environments;
- Good knowledge of Italian labor law and HR processes;
- Experience managing HR activities with a high degree of autonomy;
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills (assertive communication, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence;
- Pragmatic, hands-on approach with a proactive mindset;
- Fluent Italian and English;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
